The Girl Who Learnt To Burn Without Ashes

I never felt like the strongest person in the room.

If I’m being honest, I’ve carried a lot of self-doubt. I’ve asked myself too many times if I was good enough, if I was capable enough, if I could ever really rise above everything weighing me down.

But life doesn’t pause just because you’re unsure. The struggles kept coming—family chaos, academic pressure, the noise in my own head. For a while, it felt like fire: heavy, consuming, endless. And there were days I believed it would reduce me to nothing.

Yet here I am. Somehow, even with the doubts, even with the exhaustion, I’m still here. Still standing, still learning. That in itself feels like something.

I don’t want to paint my story as heroic, because it hasn’t felt that way. Most of the time it felt like stumbling forward in the dark. But every time I thought I was finished, something inside me whispered, “Not yet.” And that whisper was enough to keep me moving.

Burning without ashes, for me, means letting those fires change me, but not erase me. The self-doubt is still there sometimes. The struggles haven’t magically disappeared. But I’m learning to see myself as someone who can carry them, grow through them, and still not lose who I am.

Maybe I’ll never be the loudest or the strongest. But I’ve learnt this: I don’t have to be destroyed by what I go through. I can walk through it, carry it, and come out still myself—just a little stronger, a little wiser, every time.

I am not someone who never doubted.

I am simply someone who kept going anyway.
