*TRIGGER WARNING*
Parts of this article involve gore, violence, and ungodly events. Not meant for the faint-hearted, so we request you to proceed with caution. Also, it would be best for you not to read this before you go to sleep at night to avoid nightmares.
● The Haunting Reality Behind “Bajirao-Mastani” Shaniwar Wada, Pune, Maharashtra:
Some of you would instantly recognize the name, Shaniwar Wada. It’s the fort that housed Kashibai, Baji Rao I’s first wife. It witnessed Baji Rao-Mastani’s love story, Kashibai’s betrayal, the Peshwa’s death, and many more downfalls. One of the downfalls includes the haunting story of Baji Rao’s grandson, Narayanrao’s assassination.

Narayanrao succeeded his brother Madhorao at the young age of 16 years. Due to his young age, Raghunathrao was in charge of the state on behalf of his nephew. Raghunathrao’s wife Anandibai, planned Narayanrao's assassination and took help from The Gardi, a hunting tribe. The Gardi Chief sent a group of assassins who entered Narayanrao's sleeping chambers after killing the guards. Narayanrao woke up from the noise, tried to save himself and ran towards his uncle's chambers shouting ‘Kaka! Mala Vachwa’ which means "Uncle! save me", but he was caught and brutally killed. He was hacked into pieces and bumped into the river.
The ghost of the young Peshwa still runs there with painful cries of saving him every new moon.
● Boba- The Ghost who paralyzes you in your sleep:
No, not your boba tea.
*sadness intensifies*
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and got scared thinking there's someone in your room? Usually, it's just a pile of old clothes that are assumed to be the scary Nun or a ghost.
But sometimes it's something far more sinister, like The Boba - a menacing entity that paralyses you in your sleep, and then strangles you till death as you watch him. It feeds off and takes a sick kind of pleasure in your pain, watching your life slip out of your eyes as you breathe for the last time, helpless and unable to defend yourself.
Claims say that the Boba usually attacks people who are sleeping on their backs, and the only way to avoid this cruel beast seems to be by lying on your side or stomach.
But if you can't do that... Well then, good night.

● The Clinton Road, New Jersey - a place where ghosts, Satanists, and professional killers gather:

Cut through a heavily wooded area with almost no houses, Clinton Road in West Milford, Passaic County, New Jersey lets your creepy imagination run wild. This 16 km long road has become notorious over the years due to the tales told about it, which include ghost sightings, strange creatures, and gatherings of everything from witches to the Ku Klux Klan. It is also a place that is visited frequently by professional killers to dispose of dead bodies.

Near the Clinton Reservoir, there's a bridge and a sharp “dead man’s curve”. It is said that if a coin is tossed into the water, a dead young boy will toss it back.
Few claim to have seen the boy’s reflection in the water while few say they've been pelted with coins.
In 1983, a cyclist found a corpse that was frozen before it was dumped in an attempt to make investigators believe the death had happened after it occurred but later, a mafioso confessed to committing the murder.
Ever wondered how actors were able to deliver jaw-dropping performances in horror movies based on true horror events, and not feel the eerie jitters throughout the making of the movie?
Well, let’s see.
● The Possession (2012):
During the filming of The Possession, a 2012 supernatural horror film directed by Ole Bornedal, some terrifying and eerie incidents occurred on the movie set. The movie, parts of which were filmed inside a former mental institution, centres on the demonic possession of Emily Brenek by a Dybbuk box, and how her family responds to the crisis.

Fluorescent lights would explode mid-take, and cold bursts of wind would suddenly sweep over a closed set. “It always happened in the middle of doing key scenes,” actor Jeffrey Morgan recalls.
The creepiest on-set incident happened after the movie was wrapped. The props were kept in storage to use in case reshoots were needed. The crew’s storage unit burnt to the ground, and the fire department found no signs of arson or electrical causes. The imitation of the Dybbuk box - which, in the movie, contained the demonic spirit that possessed Emily - was among the items that were destroyed in the fire.
● The Exorcist (1973):

The Exorcist is often cited as one of the most horrifying films in the history of cinema, but it is also notorious for having a supposedly haunted set. One of the eeriest incidents was when the set of the MacNeil's house caught fire. It destroyed the entire set, except for Regan’s room. Ellen Burstyn actually injured her back when she was thrown to the ground by Regan (Linda Blair), which resulted in a scream that can be heard in the film.
There were also several deaths linked to people who worked on the film including Jack MacGowran and Vasiliki Maliaros, who both died during post-production. Their characters Burke Dennings and Mrs Karras also die in the movie.
When the movie was released, several audience members suffered from cardiac arrests and died on the spot.
Moving on, ever heard of haunted vehicles? If not, then have a look at this.
● The Most Evil Car in America that killed more than a dozen people:
A 1964 Dodge 330 was purchased by a police unit. The three police officers who drove the car ended up committing murders and suicides, where they first murdered their families, then killed themselves.
The car's next owner had a similar spooky experience with the vehicle, where the car would automatically open its doors and jam its steering wheel, in an attempt to harm the passengers.

To stop the car from being used, the members of a local church vandalized it. Unfortunately, many of those who destroyed the car ended up being decapitated by an 18-wheeler truck, and one member got struck by lightning.
A child who touched this Evil Car in 2007 went to kill his entire family in a similar way as the three police officers. Soon after this incident, the church members stole that car and chopped it off into small pieces and sent those pieces to different junkyards to ensure it was never reassembled. After that, the car never came back.
● Flight 401:

In 1972, Eastern Airlines Flight 401 crashed into the Florida Everglades, claiming 101 lives, including those of Captain Robert 'Bob' Loft and Flight Engineer Donald 'Don' Repo. Many parts of the plane, especially those in the galley, were deemed re-usable and were therefore salvaged and installed on other planes in Eastern's fleet.
That's when the alleged paranormal appearances began. On planes where salvaged parts had been installed, the ghosts of Bob Loft and Don Repo started to show up.
A flight attendant reported seeing the face of Don Repo in an oven door. She called two other crew members to come and take a look just in time to hear the apparition say "Watch out for fire in this plane." Sure enough, the engine failed on the return flight and it was shut down just before catching fire. Also, an entire Eastern airlines cockpit crew saw Repo sitting among them on another flight. He warned them about a faulty electrical circuit, which was found and repaired. The sightings weren't limited to just crew members. There were several reports of passengers seeing those ghosts as well. And all in all, there were more than 20 such incidents that happened and were reported. However, all these paranormal tales shared a common thread: these friendly phantoms were trying to protect the planes and those aboard.
Eventually, these incidents forced the Airlines to remove all salvaged parts from the affected jets. But this didn't affect the release of the book, "The Ghost of Flight 401," as well as a movie with the same title.
Here we come to the end of this spooky and eerie article. May all of our souls be at ease and in peace. Happy Halloween!
